Industrial engineer · ISO 9001 lead auditor

Industrial engineer from the University of Costa Rica, with a master’s in Business Administration and an emphasis in Project Management. More than fifteen years in operational efficiency, process improvement and standardization in service organizations.

Since 2010 she has been responsible for implementing, managing and continuously improving the ISO 9001 Quality Management System at Costa Rica’s National Council of Rectors (CONARE), covering strategic, core and support processes. She is a certified lead auditor in ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 19011:2018.

As a consultant she has worked with boutique hotels across every operational area —front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, kitchen, food and beverage— with on-site diagnostics, staff interviews and workshops with middle managers.

Laura Esquivel M.

Attorney and notary public · Foreign trade and economic diplomacy

Attorney and notary public, a graduate of the University of Costa Rica, with more than thirty years of experience in public and private institutions tied to domestic and international trade.

She served as Costa Rica’s Ambassador to Japan, with an emphasis on economic diplomacy, and represented the Costa Rican export sector on trade missions and at free trade agreement negotiations with Japan, the United States, Central America, South America, Europe and China.

She chaired the Advisory Council of PROCOMER’s Single Export Window and the Foreign Trade Advisory Council, and sat on the Regulatory Improvement Commission of the Ministry of Economy, Industry and Commerce. Her private practice focused on constitutional law and the defense of individual rights.
